Let's get the reel spiel about the movies out there to rent.

Amongst all those blockbusters, it's nice to sit down to a great movie that may not have had the exposure it should have had. Here you can find those gems you may have missed, those you should miss, & those with a few unwarranted surprises.

I will do my best to help you find a worthy pick that won't waste your time by looking at four types of movies. First, the "Hidden Gems & Forgotten Flics", those movies you may have missed or never gotten around to. Second, the "Don't Bother" movies that just aren't worth your time. Next, the "Whoa!" movies that take you by surprise in a negative way due to gratuitous "something". Lastly, the "Misleading or Heavyhearted" movies that may leave you well, heavyhearted.

Here's to finding great movies and avoiding the rest!

Fido

2006 (R)
Genre: Horror Comedy, Comedy, Zombies, Satire
Billy Connolly, Carrie-Anne Moss, Dylan Baker, Tim Blake Nelson

"Hidden Gems & Forgotten Flics"
This quirky comedy is a spin on the typical zombie movie. Zombies in this quaint 50s style neighborhood are the new "must have" accessory. This is a delightful movie with Billy Connolly in the lead as Fido. Brilliantly acted and visually colorful. As with most Zombie flics, there is blood and zombie feasting, but this time around its comical and imaginative. I must point out that the movie cover looks worse than it is. It is rated R for zombie violence, but again it is comical and could be seen by older teens.
